Anyone else notice this? (release handle INSIDE of trunk)

When I brought my STi home, the Mrs looked it over.
She asked what the handle was for.

"I'll show you", I replied whilst throwing my son in the trunk.

After the screaming subsided, he calmly grabbed the handle & popped the trunk open.
