They are going to be showing it at the L.A. AND the S.F. Autoshow, just in case you're interested. They should be debuting in showrooms sometime in early February, but some dealers are already taking deposits for sale AT MSRP (no markup).

im wondering if the new sti is coming out in 2008 as 2009MY, then who is going to buy the MY2008 STIs? i would wait till the new one to come out then buying a new 2008 sti

 

dont they usually come out shortly into the new year?

 

My understanding is that there is no such thing as a MY2008 STI, they will still be selling old MY 2007 STI's that are left over this next few months in case you don't want a 5-door, but that's the only reason I can think of why anyone would want to buy a "new" STI before the "09" is released.

 

When the 02 WRX came out, wasn't it released in early 02 and the model year was downplayed? I recall the commercials simply calling it the "New WRX".

 

The first '02 WRX's started showing up in dealerships in March of '01, I bought mine in May of 01.
