Anybody know when the new STi is coming out?

Been seeing some pictures posted on I-club. The thing looks hot. Thinking about getting rid of the bugeye wagon to get it.

Hate the new wrx thought.

I think it's too late for it to come out as a 2008 model, so it might come some time in 2008 as a 2009 model. This is just speculation, as the Japanese website has it's debut set for October 24th, 2007.

What I heard was the US version will start showing up on this side of the pond in April/May of '08, I always suppose that might change though....

Man, the new WRX STi looks sooooooooo much better than the standard WRX, it's not even funny!

Then there's the sedan... That thing is laughable at best...

Yeah the sedan is ugly and I dont' think any thing cosmatic can be done to it to make it look half decent.

It's good to know the wagon is getting some love. After seeing the black STi picture you posted.. I finally understand what's love at first sight.

Damn that thing is better then sex

Anyone know if some of the parts are interchangable with the 02 and 03? Might want to save some parts.

I asked if there would be any here that I could run in the Alcan Winter Rally in February and was told no.

Although I guess it is possible that the person I was asking didn't know I would be buying one for that purpose if it were available, not looking for a factory ride.....

I stopped by Capitol this past weekend, and the guy said "should be December, but maybe at the end of this month." I don't really place a lot of stock in what he has to say, however, because that preceded this exchange:

"Are they going with just 300hp or did they bump it up?"

"It's still just 300, any more and you'll have major torque steer."

"Uh, ok, thanks."

I'm hoping it doesn't come out any time soon, because I'm afraid I'm going to trade in my '06 STI (w/ 4k miles) for one

From all the shucking and jiving we are getting from the reps (SOA), I hope to have STI's to sell by late January ~ early February.

In November we can start taking orders and deposits!
