Anybody Have Heat Allegies?

So, I'm pretty sure I have heat allergies. I have all symptoms of cholinergic urticaria, minus the crazy hives. I'm hoping this is just seasonal, as I've developed a moderate allergy to pollen (or something) in the early spring in the last 2 years. But damn this SUCKS! I can't elevate my core temperature past 2.5 degrees or else I feel like a million little knives are pricking my skins.

Anybody else suffer from this? What'd you do to alleviate it?

Just like every other allergy, you need to take anti-histamines, since histamines are reacting causing the allergy. What medications have you taken? I know for regular seasonal allergies, Alavert is hands down the best I've used as well as a lot of my friends.

I think I have a heat allergy too, every time I get hot I start to sweat profusely... But seriously, I actually have a mild reaction, I get small weird bumps on my arms, Their not itchy or painful they just pop up a lot in the heat. I've never looked into what cures it though

Heat allergies or heat rash?

When I first moved out here in the US, I developed some sort of (mild)heat rash, which was basically my skin was so dry that my pores were closed/clogged. When my body wants to sweat, it irritates the closed/clogged pores until the sweat actually comes out.

Aloe vera helped a lot as an immediate and short-term solution. I worked on getting my water intake up, and used skin lotion at least once a day. Eventually it went away.

NOTE: I never had a doctor check it out, as I was still jobless during that time. I basically spent a couple of hours researching online, and just assumed what my "condition" is based on matching symptoms.

EDIT: I looked up cholinergic urticaria - my triggers were definitely anything heat-based, ie, under the sun, exercise, eating spicy food. However, the resulting rash was never as bad as the pictures - I was mostly just getting red spots on where I would normally sweat, and the redness will disappear shortly after I actually sweat.

I think I'm a degree below you. I'm starting to see a few bumps, but nothing to be considered a "rash" I have upped my intake of water, and cut out the caffeine (so god damned hard) from my diet. It's working, the itching episodes are slightly less intense and less frequent. I'm also in the same boat; no health insurance, no job! So, no doctor for now.

Re: anti-histamine, I have been taking some benadryl, but it doesn't really do it. I think I might switch brands and try it again though.

I only get heat rashes if i stay in the sun even when im wearing sunblock. the skin gets itchy then burns like hell. I scratch until it looks like a rash. hives appear. its only red were it itches/burns. it tends to spread throughout my body like the tops of my feet, shins, arms, back, and thighs. skin does swell up a lot. it looks just like the images if you google 'heat rash'. benadryl and itch relief gel usually eases the pain and knocks me out.

I have it, developed in the past few year. it used to bother me the hives on my arms. I usually get it after the winter is over and my body isn't acclimated to the warmer temps yet. But I keep excerising and just don't pay any attention to it. My doctor says it comes and goes may never go away, or just one day stop.

Claritin I beleive does make a Non Drowsy pill and that usually works for me with my allergy issues.

Nothing works better for me than zyrtec. For me it's the only one that works the full 24 hrs and I have been taking it for 3 years I believe.

on a similar note, I've also noticed my skin is much dryer than before. and I used to have dry skin already. Besides hydration, what are you folks doing? Methinks it's a weird hormonal imbalance which is causing dry skin and heat rash, as my pores cannot efficiently cool my body. Probably also why I'm subject to seasonal acne at age 24.
