It's free and open source. Same features. Less cost.

If you have never tried OpenOffice, you should give it a whirl. It fits the need very very well.

OpenOffice. does the same thing but for free without having to drop a lot of money or steal a copy. It will even save files into msword format, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

Go with Open Office.

I've spent the last 6 hours trying to remotely remove & reinstall Office 2007 on a computer based outta Chicago, FML.

I wasn't sure if you could save your files in .doc format. I'll look into it. While we're on the topic, can it save in .docx format?

I can check. My version can't save in .docx. I think it can open it though...

Thing is it doesn't support docx. well it'll open but won't save in that. which is the 2007+ file type of Word.

..edit.. darkonion beat me to it.
but overall it will fit most needs.

I have MSDN, Open Volume License Keys, and personal ones. But listing any of them on here will ruin all the keys after it ends up in China's hands.
