Can't you just wrap the whole thing in dynamat extreme and cut slits for the vents? It'll look ghetto but thats how some people with air-only OC'ed systems quiet down their systems, with blankets/covers/slips that are made of acoustic dampening material.

Its not like the xbox is pretty to begin with anway =P

Most of the noise comes from the combination of the fan and the hard drive(something PS2 guys know nothing about) It's kind of the nature of the beast. Huck I have to say ODDworld is an awesome game. I can imagine that you being as creative as you are with your designs took a particular interest in it. Can you really blame them though for making it XBOX exclusive? Game designers are artists much like yourself. Any way you shake a stick, it takes just as much time to make a game for PS2 as it does to make a title for XBOX. Wouldn't an artist want his work to be the most it could be? I would personally be kind of pissed if I spent all that time and it couldn't look the way I wanted it to because of the capabilities of the machine I was making it for. I haven't played "strangers wrath" yet, but from what I have seen thus far, all of it's beauty could never have been accomplished on the PS2. Much like the re-release of GTA Vice City& GTA3 for the Xbox. The true beauty of these games wasn't seen until it came to Xbox. Rock Star signed a contract with Sony to make these exclusive to the PS2 Unitl NOV'03. This was a good deal for them with the uncertainty of the Xbox still looming. During that time while those with Xbox went without two of the greatest games of all time, Rockstar was busy re-writing code to make those games what they wished they could have been. A la Xbox version.

i replaced the rear fan on mine then i upgraded the thermal paste on the heatsinks on the cpu and gpu and lowered the fan speed so the xbox is a bit quieter now

although you might need a modchip to set the fanspeed in a dashboard program or just stick a resistor inline of the fan.

ya, u can vary the fan speed with a modchip and a new dash i believe.

as for the xbox/ps2 battle. i have both. both modded. Ps2 has WAY WAY WAY more good games than xbox. like WAY MORE. Xbox only has MAYBE 5-7 good games. and only 2-3 of those are exclusives.

Katamari Damacy!!! this game RULES ALL GAMES! oh, and the Final Fantasy series and ATLUS rpgs (Disgaia, Phantom Brave, etc) are more fun than ANY game on xbox. altho Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate is close.

I do like using my xbox as a media center tho. which is pretty much the only thing its good for.

If you like racing games, you have a PS2. GT4 is the reason to keep the system.

Xbox is awsome for multiplayer and the complete ease of Xbox Live....and I will say Halo just cuz I love the damn games.

PS2 is better for role playing games, etc...****, I dunno, I have both and like both a lot, each for different reasons.
