Any of U 3D guys/gals?

Wondering if any of you use Maya, and what paint packages you might use?

I use maya to model buildings. i have never used paint packages before, what are they? Architects use maya very differently than other designers.

Paint packages may be pluged into maya. They are programs like Deep Paint, I think Moto has paint capabilities, and also Body Paint. They alow you to bring your 3D model into the program from maya and paint either projections or 2D. Actual painting is done usually in Photoshop then in almost realtime when you hit save, or apply from a paint program maps the paint onto the 3D geometry.

I use Maya for assigning maps for geom. as well as to run renders of my paint jobs for films (vfx work).

We may move from deep paint to body paint. Other studios write there own programs to paint, and plug it into maya.
