i never tried lexus wax
I have a silver rex and silver doesnt shine up as nice as say black or wrb but ill still wax her all the time. I use meguiars also. I just bought their caranuba wax and the gold class wax(which i really like). After the car is waxed i noticed a different in both shine and how the rag slips on the car. I am also in search of that ultimate wax but i am pretty pleased with almost all of meguiars products they put out.
Have you tried meguiars hot shine tire spray. I like the setting on it so you can change teh widthof the spray for low profile tires or wider sideways.

Right Now i'm using Black Magic Tire Spray and Wheel Cleaner, Very please with both, Although i have some weird stains on my wheels that look like grease dripped down them and dryed. And i can't get the crap off. i'm also looking for something to clean this off.

i use
3M adhesive, tar, and wax remover on tuff stains and grease. I had these dark black marks on the side of the car , probably from the tires. I put on mud flaps and it helped but this 3M product takes it right off. With one swipe it was gone. I am pretty impressed with their products and especially this one.

I use Meguires Gold Class Wax and also their cleaner wac. Ive been impressed and nothing has made me want to try something else yet. Makes my black WRX look awesome, with a deep shine and slippery smooth surface, for the about 15 minutes that a black car stays clean.

I do the Meguiar's DEEP CRYSTAL SYSTEM. It come in 3 step. The frist step is a Paint Cleaner, #2 is a Polish, and # 3 is Carnauba Wax. It look better then new and last a long time. I have to have a clean car. I love Meguiar's
