Any interest in intake silencer eliminators?
Any interest in intake silencer eliminators?
Hey guys, I can get 5 of these for $60/each. I just want to test the waters to see if anyone is interested, I dont want a box of these sitting around. I would ideally bring them to a meet for cash.
They are fiberglass, and unpainted from what I understand.

i'm looking at buying the one from www.generationplastics.com. $60 seems a little steep...i've seen that one on ebay. But I could probably be convinced if you HAD to get rid of them
what I meant by hand made is they arent really produced in bulk...so even if he sells alot he still has to make each one by hand and it takes him the same amount of time per unit to make one as it is to make 6

I just threw in a fender plug for a $1 and threw a velocity stack into my airbox as seen in scooby mods for $25.
works fine for me but good luck!
seems like a good idea for piece-of-mind.

Well, the justification for this piece is
#1 It appears stock
#2 By plugging the fenderwall and disconnecting the intake duct, you lose the "ram air" effect at speed, although you increase your intake volume at idle/low speed. In other words, you lose some of the intake volume at speed without the airbox connected to the intake duct directly
These are not my claims but I have read empirical proof showing this (air flow charts) somewhere on i-club.
I havent yet made up my mind whether or not to touch the stock silencer, but I figure this unit is a clean piece and can be undone easily if need be.

No. I'm very skeptical about it, so I'm waiting for someone that has it say that it makes the car go faster first
You have to call them up and order directly from them.
