If we present the idea to all the regional forums, or even just ones close to vegas, we'd get a few I'm sure. SOCal is way close, as is AZ, (obviously) NV, WA and OR. Honestly, the drive is only about 9 hours, WITH stops, and we could plan it out to have some cool stuff on the way. I drove home from there last week, left at 11:30, stopped in Calico (a ghost town), stopped for food/drink near Mojave, stopped in Bakersfield for gas, restroom and drink and hit a couple rest stops. Made the drive in about 9 hours. And that's in a Cavalier. Subarus are MUCH better for the road than that - the drive would be CAKE.

i don't suppose there is a website for this supertuner gig is there?

Friday = Dinner/Party
Saturday = Auto X (Slalom style auto x like they have in japanese tuner vids), and 1/4 mile
Sunday = Track Day. (tuners go first, get times and such (like 10 laps each, then an average). Then it's us... I'll split people up into groups, and we can have some fun.

yeah, i guess 1 to SLO/Morro isn't too bad, i've always driven down 101 when i've been headed down there.
why slalom?

Well, it's not just a slalom... more like a highspeed autox... lets just put it that way.
A regular autox would take too long, and be too big of a headache for me.
I think we can get a family meet like the one in Mt Hami at San Pablo Dam. Nice place to fish and do some BBQ'ing. There are also watersports, plenty of parking and it is not that hot there.

What about Portland OR. Then maybe we could organize it with the West Coast Subie guys and all meet there. It's a nice drive and there are plenty of Subaru people along the coast all the way up to Seatle.
It's just an idea.

LOL like what, 95 percent of the scoobies that go to Vegas are gonna have to drive through like 20 miles of 130 degree Mojave or Death Valley heat, I'm gonna wager at least 2 or 3 of us will blow up.

!But, the heat isn't as bad - specially if we go in April - May. In fact, last week it was only around 107F, which isn't too bad. Not as bad even as it gets here in Sac
