i'll be there on Friday walking around handing out flyers for LeMans Karting and what not..

btw, if you buy a $15 LeMans Karting T-shirt you get a FREE practice at LeMans Karting (worth $20) we only have about a 1000 shirts so get em while they last! =]

 

Come to the Market and San Carlos crossing where I'm working, and I'll buy one.

 

Seriously, it's way different from last year. The shirts say "event Services" not "Race offcial". No SCCA affiliation. No SCCA meeting, nothing. We get 2 shirts. we got only our pass, no extra pass like last year. Super restrictive, and I had no idea it was this way.

I hope that we will still be having a good time, and I'll get a lot more photos. But to be honest, I was walking down there, and I didn't see any media cut outs in the fence where there should be. Doesn't NBC have exclusive rights or something? If this is the case, then it ****ing sucks donkey *****.

Last years access was the ish! For workers anyway. I couldn't do it this year. The wife's b-day kinda took #1 on the list of things to do that week.

 

Thank god that each station has a lot of workers so it's easy to step away if need be and walk around for an hr or so.

nope. Some pizza after party for the volunteers and then like a month later some sort of dinner deal. But looks like nothing really compared to what SCCA put on for us.

It's 4:30am... no one should be getting up this early for a volunteer gig!
