Any gardeners on here?

Hey,

Was wondering if there were any gardeners here on i-club 'cause I had some questions?

I'm using Golden Bantam Hybrid Corn and I'm not having much luck getting it to grow here in the east bay. I think it might be because it's made for "Run 2" but I started the seedlings early this Spring. Can anybody recommend techniques for growing corn?

Also been mixing Bumper Crop with the heavy, clay-like soil and that seems to kinda help...but for growing Walla Walla onions, I need really sandy soil. Wondering how much sand I should add to the soil to get the most HP out of my onions?

Thanks,

Steve

I'm sorry to answer your questions with another question, but what kind of root space do corn plants need? My backyard is all concrete, so I have not ground to plant stuff. Just wondering if you can plant them in a typical larger container.

I think corn needs pretty well aerated soil, no more than a foot deep, but this is my first attempt at growing vegetables so I'm not sure.

So the joke about zumnwrx must be because...?
