What'd the cop complain about? I mean really, about the only thing he could pull is an unlawful gathering (which it wasn't) or loitering (which is why you go to the mall). So my response to the cop...

the great mall security called the cops on us for loitering, we went to the mall but some people still stayed outside and the cop made us leave. haha

I suggested that we go inside the mall, then it wouldn't be considered loitering...but people remained outside as well, and that is when it fell apart. People speeding like madmen through the parking lot didn't help either. But it was good while it lasted!

Next year we need to get organized better...and maybe find a different spot.

That same security person tried to tell us that a "racer" was going 100mph in the parking lot and hit a speed bump and his tires dropped and his axle snapped. He also tried to recruit us for the fast and the furious 3... lol. What a joke...

yes and no. the mall security was very nice. he came up and was chatting with those of us who were taking pictures. The security guard i talked to told me that the owners had called the police and gave us plenty of warning to get out of there..
I knew a good 10 minutes before that the police were on thier way out.

He was also nice when it was just us 5.

But the things he was saying were stretching the truth just a little bit..

Thumbs up it was fun while it lasted

I was in complete awe when I drove up. Never saw so many subies in one spot. Sucked when the cops came. Good times though...

Photos from road to the party

Sorry I couldn't stay later guys. The heat really beat me up. I felt so bad I didn't even stay to eat the BBQ

Could having all of the WRXs and STIs in one location have made too much downforce and physically slowed the earth down?

Here is the gallery of photos from your drive in. (some cars got missed)

I thought we discussed this last time.. what's the first rule of highspeed spirited driving events? Do not wave to the photographer. It almost always covers your face, may cause a crash and as the photo below illustrates you may end up with "EAGLE CLAW"
