Any expierence with EMC Collision in fremont?

Need to have some body work done and was planning on taking the car to EMC Collision in fremont. Does anyone have any experience with them? Were you happy with the work performed?

Or any recommendations to any other shops in fremont area are welcomed

I used to work across from them. Depends on who is still there. They did some work to my car and I likely wouldn't go back. A lot of little stuff that wasn't put back together right.

I suggest Auto Body of Fremont. They're located AT Fremont Ford. Mike Solis is the manager. I'd go there any day of the week. Good work comes out of that shop and Mike cares about every car in and out.

Stay away, they are very shady and don't stand by their work unless you hound them and threaten to sue!

They treated me like crap after they screwed up a couple things and acted like it wasn't their fault, it took months for them to admit their mistake. (One of the mistakes was putting my tiny spare tire over my aftermarket big brakes and driving it around!!! They carved down the caliper BIG TIME!). They didn't admit to that for sooooo long.

That's just a small part of it. I know others who have had bad luck there too.

You know Calvin? Co-owner of Speed Element? While his GC was there one of the mechanics stole his AFC-S! They denied the entire thing and he was out an AFC-S!

Screw them, dont go there!

I've only heard bad things about EMC. The body shop previously mentioned at Fremont Ford did good work on my gf's car. Also there's Bay Area Body Shop in Newark on Cedar Blvd (just north of Mowry). They did good work on my honda years ago.

If you want to drive down to downtown SJ, there's a place called apex auto body off 7th and phelan. They do outstanding/ quality work. I've been going there for quite some time now.

If you're unhappy, they will redo the work but trust me you'll be satisfied the first time around.

Look them up on yelp and read the reviews, ask for Paul and tell him I sent you

I tried them once... wouldn't go back. They forgot to put back some plastic trim before giving my car back, and when I asked them about it they said the car is exactly the way it came in. I called BS, and they said they can present the photos they took of the car before working on it to look at the trim. I said go right ahead, and ended up right.

IMO, they don't know subies very well... my friend who recommended them has a bimmer and they probably do better work on euros more than japanese.

Definitely do not go there. Heard horrible stories about them. Its just not worth your time and money.

I DEFINITELY recommend apex auto body. i've taken my car there every single month this past year and I've been so pleased with their work. They offer you a reasonable price and high quality work. My car is in their shop again since someone hit my car while my brother was driving it. Like i said before, i definitely think you will be happy with the amount of time they took and the quality of their work.

I promise you this will save you so much money as well as give you a great looking car.

definitely check yelp and read all the reviews. he has nothing but happy customers. no matter how busy they are, they will always find time to fit you in.

I bet you're glad you asked before you went there!

Another thing about them is not only do they do a **** poor job, but they are VERY expensive! Far more expensive then any other body shop in the bay area. No idea why, perhaps its because of their good location, nice looking building? Right off the freeway so everyone sees a nice looking building with their name on it VS many other body shops that operate in much older buildings.
