Any engine hoists available to borrow?

Hey guys, just like the title says, wondering if I can borrow an engine hoist for a day or two? Preferable if your within the North or East bay area so I can pick it up. Thanks.

Didn't know that. I'll probably call tomorrow and see if they have any hoists available. Thanks.

I've always just rented one from United Rentals. Rent and Buy Industrial and Commercial Equipment | United Rentals Haven't needed one in a while but it was $25 a day (there is a deposit you have to put down, it was like $100 or something you get back when you return it) and it fully breaks down into 6-7 pieces and I can haul it in my civic with the seat down. Takes only a few minutes to assemble.

Nice, there's one close by me. Thanks. Do they supply you with the chain as well or do you have to get one from elsewhere?

Thanks, I'll probably end up renting one since it's easier and close by. But I'll PM him about it later today if I haven't yet decided what I want to do.

They did supply a chain, literally just a simple chain. Total did the job but nothing fancy that allows you to adjust the tilt while already being lifted.

Sounds good enough for me lol. Don't need to do anything fancy, just need to replace the head gasket and water pump.
