any computer gurus?

I need to reformat my computer. I have the disk and my bios set to boot from cd, but the computer just boots straight to hard drive. When I open the disk, it won't let me load xp because it is older than the one on the compter. I don't care if it's older, I need to wipe it and start fresh.

I have nothing to do. I'm in charge and give orders all day. I go out and work a lot, but that's because i hate sitting behind a desk.

right before the windows splash page appears after the bios page... press F8 and see what options it gives you.... see if you can make any use of that option.

I have my squadron computer guy on it to see if he can figure it out. When he is done, I will try that.
