Any advice on suspension noise?
I think my front axle is bad and i want to get it fixed before i get an alignment. Let me know if you have any recommendations and what i should expect to pay. I am not completely sure it is the axle/ cv joint because i don't see any grease leaking from the boot, but i do hear a squeeling/ creaking noise when i turn the wheel to the right. it does match wheel speed and sounds like rope binding. When i installed coilovers on my car the other night i did notice that the right assembly of the cv/axle fsb was hanging lower than usual. It may be the fsb/ bushings/ control arm bushings, but i just want to know if anyone can help me. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Ok so i went to my friends house to let him hear the noise. He's pretty good with cars and he says that it is probably the dust shield touching the rotor as it makes a sound. he says the sound is rotational so if i fix the dust shield it should go away. the next thing he said was that it may have been a bushing that needs re- greasing or what not. Ill take a look tomorrow and let yall know what happens.

If it isn't clicking and you JUST noticed grease then the joint could very well be fine. Just needs a new boot. At the same time your friend could be right that something is just rubbing. Have it diagnosed by someone that is capable before you replace something you might not need to. Better than blindly guessing and possibly wasting money.
