Just got a noise Violation, advice please

****ing bull****, 4 of us sitting in our living room, having a few drinks and playing of all things, go fish. Skank cop knocks on the door, immediately says were getting a ticket, no conversation, please keep it down, nothing.

Just question on fighting the ticket, if we go to the court and try to fight it and loose do we have to pay extra money for court fees, and is it possible to delay court dates in hopes the ***** cop doesn't show up?

hmm a warning should have been issued first not a ticket right away.not unless she knew the cop also or that lady exaggerated her complaint.

Was last night right before my post, 11:45. We had been moving and cleaning most of the evening until like 10:15, and had music on, I think that set her off, and she just waited 'til later to call the cops even though we were barely making any noise.

Not to be a dick, but in apartments and duplex's people are often alot louder than they realize. Even if sounds like people talking can't be heard through the walls, the bass from a stereo is unbearable if you are trying to sleep. Not saying you are at fault, I just have a white trash neighbor that will never STFU.

Maybe your neighbor is friends with a/the cop? Good luck with the ticket.

My guess is that she claimed she had asked you nicely to be quiet, but you continued being loud. This may also party explain the officer's behavior at your door. Whenever you call the cops with a noise complaint, thats the first thing they will ask you to do- ask them to quiet down yourself (at least where I live)
