Why not swap the turbo while the motor was out? All that work into the motor and stock TD04?

No point when you Have a new motor.. This car has literally 13 miles on it. I love the td04 and it's awesome low end torque though..

Other then you don't have to do the same work twice... bolt up the new turbo before you drop the motor in and no need to worry about it again.

But whatever you want to do.

Not really. It's 5 extra nuts off of the up pipe and like 3 coolant connections with 2 oil connections.

What style of build did you go with?
Port match, pistons to decrease compression, etc.

I know what you're saying... you don't need a small turbo to break a motor in safely and a TD04 though it spools quick is pretty much useless on a 2.5. At least a VF39 would have been a good way to go if not something like an 18g or VF30 or 34 or a 16 g or a....

But I get what you're saying.

i port matched the heads, went with pistons to also decrease compression,

h-beam rods with cometic gaskets.. while the motor was out i also did tgv deletes, new turbo inlet, crank pulley, oil pump along with a new timing belt set.
