The guy at the at EDD office in Campbell said the same thing to me after I checked the box when I was taking a night class. His comment "Why did you do that?" He explained further that they really see in black and white and like akdmx said above here they think "If you are in school, when will you find time to work, let alone look for a job?"

I don't want to come off rude but why don't you have a job? if you need something I have and know a lot of companies that need people right now.. just pm me and I might be able to help ya
Wow dude, this suckzors, the MIL will be out in a week or so. I've got a room opening at the El Jefe Bed & Breakfast "where you get a bed and make me breakfast"
Time to start flipping burgers or rolling pizza dough. I worked at Sbarro for a couple months while I was looking for a job a few years back, and I have an MS in Electrical Engineering. While you might think that it's too low for you, it beats the s*** out of being broke, pleading with the EDD and eating away your savings.
My 2 cents...

+1 - And this is why selfish people like you really have no place in the world. If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all. All this guy does is come on the forums & make negative comments. I don't get why people have to act so immature.
Now anywho, I really do wish you the best of luck. Times are hard right now and I know many are struggling. You will find a job, just never give up. If you believe in yourself enough and you believe in your family, then nothing will stop you. Anything you can do will help them, whether you're making $8/hr or $30/hr. I know it's hard to go from making a lot of money to pretty much nothing, but do whatever you can. I have a lot of respect for people who are working at fast food places and making minimum wage. Money is money in the end but please don't let money define you. I come from a family who had nothing and it took a lot of hard work to survive so I can tell you that it is possible if you never ever give up.
Just my .02
Good luck.

If you are implying that they are free loaders then you definitely should consider keeping your mouth shut
I know you don't want to do it Ray, but I'd consider moving to another state where they need your talent, and where it's just plain cheaper to live. Do that until things are better here and move back.
