Second session the lake was pretty much gone but still small streams .

Third session I don't remember any of the streams but the track was still wet.

Fourth session the track was starting to form a dry line

Fifth session track was dry.

I kept having people come up to me complimenting me on how fast I was driving out there in my STi. But I had to confess to them that it was the other WRB STi. And yes he was real FAST. I don't know if he is on the boards here, but if you are please pm me I have some questions for you.

It was nice to see some more Subaru's out at the track again. Usually it is just me and one or two other Subarus. Not like the good old days when we ruled the numbers of cars at an event. How about more Subarus signing up for Laguna Seca on the 25th of February?
I was one of the people who came up to compliment you on your driving thinking you were the other guy

He was stock power with a catback, 245/40/17 star specs, RCE T2s with off the shelf rates (500/400), two piece front rotors and brake ducts. Most importantly, he races grand am

It was fun watching him blow by everyone on the track

Saturday was a blast! It was good meeting some of you folks that made it out. Sorry for the inconvenience the two times our Lemons car had to be towed out of the mud (put there by myself and one other driver). We learned a LOT about this technical track and I'm glad we had both wet and (mostly) dry.

I was sorry to see that M3 eat it badly into the K-wall! Ugh! Also, the silver bugeye sedan driver (Jonathan) caught a ride with me then sideswiped a tire barrier removing his mirror and banging up the side. I did the same in our race car later in the day, but on the passenger side. (we could "fix" the damage with a sledge hammer)

Here's a short video clip when I had Jonathan riding with me:

What car did you spin in? I didn't spin this day, but the only time I have spun at Infineon was in the rain at the exact same spot. It was a big old long lazy spin and unbelieveable for Infineon I didn't hit anything either. I was just laying down a little to much power and around it came. Ended up off drivers right sitting perpedicular to the track with the front wheels still on the track. Corner work waved me back on and off I went.

Also in my first session track description I forgot about the stream between 3 and 3a. That seemed to stay slick for a long time also.

All and all a pretty fun day. I was dreading the rain but still had fun. I wanted to pull in after the first lap of the first session but stayed out and actually started to have some fun. I just had to get used to the conditions I guess.

So the other STi driver was pretty much stock power? Not that a lot of power was usable in the rain. That was still impressive. You always think you are doing pretty good and getting the most out of your car until you see a professional do it. Then you realize why they are pros and you are not. I always wondered how fast our cars were with a pro driving. It would have been fun to go for a ride, but then I would have missed one my sessions doing it.

I'm so disappointed I couldn't make it out... it looks like fun!

Hey, on turn 5 where you spun it looks like you were pulling the wheel to come setup 6 but got caught on the off camber exit of 5 when the weight shifted forward... but then you lifted off the throttle which further contributed. Is that what happened? (I'm trying to learn and understand here)

I talked to Conrad who was driving the black STI on goldies (not on iclub i think). I'm pretty sure he had RE01's. I forgot to ask him how he liked them in the rain, but I did see him at the top of turn 5 with 4 wheels off in the mud xD.

This one, but w/o the roof decorations (bank/corporate bail out theme):

Sort of. My first mistake was drying to take the tight "dry line" through there and it's slippery. As the tail slipped out I didn't lift right away but tried to catch it (as I was doing multiple times per lap) but didn't succeed this time! :-D
