Most organizations have run groups for beginners. I believe that Trackmasters usually has a beginner group, but believe me you don't want Infineon in the rain to be your first track day. Pick Thunderhill in the dry for your first track day. You have enough things to worry about in the dry as apposed to the wet at Infineon. There is very little room for error at Infineon. But if you want to drop by most people will give you a ride if you bring an approved helmet. I'll be there in my WRB STi #21 and I'm always giving rides to people.

Agreed. Thunderhill in the dry is a great way to start off your track experience. It's a technical track with a few 'high speed' areas. tons o' fun.

Does anyone have a schedule for this yet? What time is the drivers meeting?

I sent in payment but haven't gotten any confirmation material yet.

First session, first run group I'm guessing Lake Infineon in turn ten was about six inches deep. It would have made for a cool picture though. Small streams running accross the track in numerous places. The major streams of notice were going into one, down through six, where the drag strip and road course meet heading up to seven, apex of turn eight and of course the lake in turn ten.

Second session the lake was pretty much gone but still small streams .

Third session I don't remember any of the streams but the track was still wet.

Fourth session the track was starting to form a dry line

Fifth session track was dry.

I kept having people come up to me complimenting me on how fast I was driving out there in my STi. But I had to confess to them that it was the other WRB STi. And yes he was real FAST. I don't know if he is on the boards here, but if you are please pm me I have some questions for you.

It was nice to see some more Subaru's out at the track again. Usually it is just me and one or two other Subarus. Not like the good old days when we ruled the numbers of cars at an event. How about more Subarus signing up for Laguna Seca on the 25th of February?

Anyone have a good recommendation for a good/cheap P&S camera mount?

I thought about taping my iphone to my passenger head rest, but all i had was painters tape and i didn't want it to fly out the window during a turn lol.

I probly can't make it to Seca on the 25th. I wasn't planning on tracking until April or May, but this deal was too good to pass up. If anyone goes to laguna or Buttonwillow in April or May, let me know.

Did you already buy a seat for Seca on Feb 25th? If you can't make it and want to sell your spot, let me know. I got someone who is on the wait-list but it's not looking good for her. Plus it's her birthday and she REALLY wants to open up her new C63....

google "cruisecam camera mount" (mounts to headrest posts) and is about $45. I have one and it's nice and works wells (just make sure to tighter screws well.

If that's too much for you and your time is worth less than your money, then DIY like this:
