Just got a copy of Grassroots Motorsports in the mail with an article saying Subiesport is no more and GRM will be taking over the balance of the subscription.
Glad I kept most of my Subiesports... I liked an all-suby-mag.
RIP Subiesport...
PS Sorry if this is a repost.

It's nearly impossible to make any money with a print publication these days. Do you have any idea how many well established magazines have gone under in the last year? Shoot, even Road & Track is on life support, how do you think a magazine devoted to a niche automobile is going to survive?

The last couple years were hit or miss, and don't get me started on the "Suby of the Year" that went to some chick with decent legs and a pink car
IMO replacing Subiesport with Grassroots is the best possible move.

When GRM show up at my door, it was like an old friend. Check the article about the racer at 25hr that damn near got cooked to death. It was pretty scary, seeing the pics of the aftermath is "like whoa".
The last issue of SS I got was on DVD, I called them and complained. "How am I supposed to take a DVD to the ****ter with me?" I informed them I will not renew with this format.

GOOD editorial content, professional photography, investigative journalism.
Well, maybe not so much with budgets being slashed. But look at SCC in it's prime. They had beautiful pictures, great articles that were well put together and very well written. Then they lose an EIC and the mag tanks and goes out of business. I never really read subiesport, because I feel it was always lacking that.
Look at Newsweek, Time, Life, US News et al, that is what a magazine offers over a forum.
