96.5 is the best station for staying calm while driving

 

F' KSJO, F' Spanish Radio Stations, Hell, F' Radio!

Hahha... I seriously haven't listened to the radio since Sept 11th and 12th 2001.

If I were to listen to radio, I'd get Sirius or XM... Standard Radio = Commercials and crap.

 

I feel ya man...

Tell you what, if you're interested, I have a ton of rock MP3's on my computer, I can burn them onto a couple of CD's for you... Just copy them to your hard drive, and burn onto music CDs. I have all sorts of cool stuff that you'd never hear on American Radio... Like Oomph!, Megaherz, Killswitch Engage, From Autum to Ashes, etc, etc...

I also have an assload of modern rock, and Trance.

 

All radio stations suck ****. I stopped listening to radio for music long time ago. I still listen to some talk radio and Howard Stern is funny in small doses. There used to be some decent college stations in the bay area but not sure now. I know there isn't any good college stations in the north bay. Of course there's no real colleges up here. Foothill College and Santa Clara U. used to have good stations.

 

I worked for KSJO for awhile - and I am very sad to see it go. If you ask me the corperate Clear Channel boys killed the station on purpose.
I do want to make a few things very clear:
Lamont & Tonelli were not fired, they quit when the Bone offered them a lot of money.

The Mikey Show was let go, and moved to Rock 105.3 in San Diego where they are still on air. In my opinion the Mikey Show was some of the best radio ever produced and the show was mismanaged by Clear Channel and or Program director at the time. Mikey should have been straight talk radio from 5-10am.

The Bob and Tom Show IS AWFUL and most of the staff thought the same thing.


After speaking to some of my friends who still work there I can say that this was somewhat of an ambush. The Senior members of the station did not know that the format was changing until noon on Thursday... the general staff did no know until around 6pm on Thursday.

So all of KSJO's frequency's (92.1, 92.3, 92.whatever) are spanish now? I just figured since I was in Fremont another station had a better signal. That's what happened in Concord. A month or so ago 92.1 went from rock to 60's pop.

 

Get used to radio stations turning to a wussy format. Playing safe music to avoid getting fined by the FCC. Let's face it if Bush gets re-elected it will only get worse. I hope you boys like listening to that inbred redneck hillbilly $hit. I guess I'll be turning off the radio altogether.
