My father is in insurance, and big things like this REALLY affect the insurance company, my dad didnt get his profit share money this year because of the fires in southern california destroying so much stuff

.............the insurance industry is doing very well, they can afford disasters like these... its all part of the risk they take,, thats the business their in.
as for all the hyundais and kias laying on the oceans floor.....its bad kharma...sure hyundai has made some changes, they had to due to bankruptcy. but their still crap

Thats not true. They removed the ship because it was in a main shipping lane. The cars were not repaired or resold, they are scrap metal.

Volvo's UK products services manager, John Rawlings, said: "You can't possibly get a car back into a fit state once it's been in salt water. We have to think of the effect on our prestige image of selling these things."

People may mention the stock of haundai going down when if you think about it with the insurance $$ they will be recieving from this incident it will basically increase production, those 4k cars may have been sold over a 3-4 month period now they were "SOLD" in one day, those stocks will rise as soon as this mess is all taken care of.
