Dude, do you guys (which you do) have any idea on how BAD *** that car was back in 1987 when it first came out!? I was only 8 but I clearly remember it when it was brand new back when I lived in Germany still.. One of our neighbors had one and I remember how cool we (my sister and I) thought it was... My dad was also a porsche fan and he even worked in the Porsche factory as a contractor. Porsche will always have a piece of my heart, especially the high end models such as that one.
Actually, I'm not really fond of the lower end Porsches like the Boxter, or hell, even the standard *** carerra... Compared to the Tubro or other high end models the standard models are just so "meh" to me. I'd love to take that baby for a spin!
I love how Porsche keeps things very simple but super efficient; the GT3 comes to mind as one hell of an efficient monster that has that porsche elegance. I'll take a 997 GT2 please!
Damn, this thread brought back some very nostalgic memories.

'87 '07 '17 IMO this car will always be bad ***. Mark my word I will have one. Actually that's the best part about it, my dream car is practical, and attainable.

One other thing, it has 4 pot brakes! 4 pots were the high shizzle back then!
Do you happen to have the specs on this specific model?
Also, in that year did they make any high end models (such as this one) in convertible? Or were the convertibles just for the standard models?

I was in there window shopping and I heard it come in. I thought it was the salesmens so I talked to him and he said it just came in. I said how much. He said $10,900. I said... I can make payments on that right. He said yeah. I walked out to my truck and back in about 3 times. I finally said o.k. Lets run numbers. As we were doing it the dudes manager came in and flipped his lid. Turned out it was suppose to be a LOT more than 10.9. Can't remember how much I think it was 17k or more. I told them... well at that price I'm not interested. and left. Wish I would have made them sell it to me at the original price. I was pissed.
I used to live around the corner on Ray St. Then up the road a little on vineyard. Spent a LOT of time window shopping in my early teens. haaa.
I remember once they had a harley drag bike with n20 on it. Thing was nutty. Sold for like $54k I think.
