I give it 10 years before wireless video is worth it.
And even then I think it will be something like a 10ft range..

Which would be perfect having a tv mounted up on the wall and having the dvd/cable box below where people don't want to run a wire up the wall or in the wall.. or have one of those wall paint matched tubes to run the wires in.
