i just picked on up.. its not bad for the price! the only thing i have that outputs a 720p signal is my HD camcorder and it looks fine on the LCD.. you aren't going to mistake it for a bling bling bravia or aquos but it gets the job done

i saw this in the store next to other 720p and 1080p displays of the same size.. there is DEFINITELY a difference in picture quality compared to a 1080p set but there is also $1000 difference.. so i'm ok with that
but compared to other 720p sets that were in the store (which started at 699 and went up from there) this emprex set was actually ok.. like.. it wasn't half as good even though it was almost half the price in the store it was playing upconverted ice age dvd (same as all the other tv's around it) and i didn't notice any ghosting and the color was... ok.. haha.. definitely a bare bones budget set but its not noticeably bad
so far the only 720p source i put into it is my camcorder and that looked ok.. i'm going to pick up an upconverting dvd player tonight to see how that goes

careful with the vizios from WM.
WM got vizio to make them a special model that has 1 less input (no vga) and less contrast ratio than a comparable model from places like circuit city/costco.
for example, i was looking at their 32" version.
the WM model # was VW32L. the one i got from CC was VX32L. WM was $599. CC was $599.
guess where i got it from...
