Or perhaps a 5th to 4th mis-shift. Sucks regardless.

I doubt it. I went from 5th to 2nd once and didn't break anything except my neck.

Man reading these types of threads makes it seem like all factory cars are built with reliability of Yugos while their owners are of Ayrton Senna skill level...it is never the driver's fault or responsibility!

Never.

When I bought my wrx everyone told me it would blow by 100k. Then it was 150k... they never last longer than 150k.

I'm at 252k right now. And I beat the ever living hell out of my car. She's tired and will go at any moment but still going now. That's all I can ask for.... 1 clutch replacement.
