2007 STi (Planned Mod List)

After over a month of research, forum scrounging, miss-topic'ed posts, post whoring, FTW's, FTL's, 1 warning, and over 400 posts over 3 forums...

Heres a list of mods I plan to do over time once I get my STi and broken it in.

Note: I do not plan on going with a bigger turbo or FMIC.

And so first of all...

I don't have a boost controller...?

This is gonna be my semi daily driver.

I'll have a POS beater to take to work, shopping, shady and dangerous areas.
Everywhere else I'll be driving the STi.

Yea, you have a boost GAUGE, but not a controller. I reread your list to make sure I didn't read that wrong. So the STi is basically your "when I feel like having fun" and "weekend warrior" vehicle?

Yeah, its my fun/weekend car, my beater is gonna be a POS 93 Camry, so thats nothing on the pocket books.

Why isn't the up pipe necessary?

The stock STI UP is catless, so there isn't much of a gains when moving to an aftermarket pipe. That being said, the stock UP has a tendency to crack under prolonged extreme usage, so if this sounds like you, upgrading to a nice UP isn't a bad idea.

Hmm Ic...

EQ Tuning or GST Motorsports??? I hear great things about both...

Hey, as long as there ARE gains, even low as 1hp and 10torque on a after market up pipe, I down.

I would say at most you'll see 3-5whp gain with the stock turbo.

Thanks

3-5 Is MUCH better than 0

Any estimate on the Torque gains?

About the same on the torque gains. The most significant gains you'll see will be in overall response and smoothness of the powerband. That and of course the reliability aspect of taking out the stock pipe which could potentially crack under extreme use.

Thanks

- Remove Spare Tire & Jack (-50PDS???)

The jack prob around 8lbs, and i dont think that spare tire is 40+lbs.

Hallow sway bars are bigger and weigh about the same as stock (dont forget the metal endlinks too).
