It comes down to practice and experience. It's not easy to launch correctly every time, I'm an example of that. Practice and it will become instinctive.
Every car is different, I launch around 4.5k, but my motor lacks torque, where as Bill's has plenty of torque. So he could probably launch a little lower and put that power to use.
Let's do it again and maybe I'll take it for a spin down the strip sometime.

This is why nailing down your launch and getting your 60ft time down to a min. is so important.

Well I am starting to look into a KAAZ gearset, and an upgraded clutch. I am hoping to drop the 60ft to about a 1.7 or around there. So that would give me about .6 on the 1/4. Along with a much better clutch some more tuning, I might need a roll bar.
Anyway the goal is a 11.6 right now, and not just once, but consistently around 11.8 all day every day.
Cheers,
Bill
