I love HP's. I have a dv8000 2.0 17"wide. Thing runs like a champ. So good in fact I picked up a dv6000 2.0 DC with a 256MB nvidia card. loving it.

 

My dad got one about 2 years ago. It's still awesome.

One of the coolest features is watching DVD's or listening to CD's without "turning on" the computer.

I still like my Dell better

 

I work for HP, and even we know that HP laptops SUCK.


Compaq and HP are bottom of the barrel... Sorry that you have the misfortune of owning one.

this is the reason why I own 2 Apple computers......
I'd have 3 if it wasn't for needing to access certain Navy websites.

 

So far, it's been tons better than Toshiba/Dell. I've had to work with both of those, and they suck soo much ***.

Where in HP are you working? My gf is starting an internship Monday there.

 

I work in the IT dept... They ***** me out to fix all kinds of crap, mainly the HP notebooks! HP kinda sucks, not a very good company to work for... Very unorganized.

I'm looking for other work at the moment (have an interview with Yahoo.com in about 2 hours actually).
