^ I didn't see any rangers. Thanks for the heads up though. I had my dogs leashed most of the time anyway. I wentto the far end Carmel River or whatever it is called to let them jump in the water. Not a lot of people and dogs there. Then went back to the main beach to bbq and chill will post more pics later on.

my brother had an american staffordshire... that was a big, nice, gentle dog. i'd be more worried about getting run down accidently by one of my labs than attacked by his "pit bull".
thankfully our labs are going on 3 and should calm down pretty soon. they went from uber hyper to just a little too hyper over the past few years.

oh, and I am in no way perpetuating the hatred for "mean" breeds, I cant stand that crap. In 2005 there were more reported cases of bites from Labs and Golden Retrievers than pits

was that bites or injuries? i couldn't ever see anyone being bit by a lab... i've never met one that was anything close to aggressive. injuries is another story alltogether. the way some of them jump and run when excited is kind of scary.

I'm pretty sure it was bites. I'm thinking the stats were thrown off though because people get both those breeds as family dogs, and if you don't get it from a good breeder (which most people dont) you'll end up with some inbreeding and aggression problems. Aggression problems+small children=dog bite
