***official bam information thread***

BAM XI - The eleventh annual Bay Area Meet is being held on Sunday, August 7th, 2011. This is the FIRST Sunday in the month of August.

The Event location is:

Rock Wall Winery
2301 Monarch Street
Building 24
Alameda, CA 94501

The parking opens at 10:30 with directed parking. We are attempting to spell "Subaru" with cars in the parking lot, so that we can have an aerial photographer shoot the cars parked in this formation. The event center opens for general ticketholders at 11:00 a.m. with a will-call table at the front door. Tickets will be held under your real name, and ID may be requested to retrieve your tickets. The event will wrap up after the raffle tickets are drawn for the prizes generously donated by our sponsors.

General Admission to Bay Area Meet 11:

Adults and children over 12: $15.00 advance/$20.00 after August 1, 2011
Children under 12: $10.00 advance/$15.00 after August 1, 2011

Car Show entry:

$20.00 before July 29, 2011 NO car show entries will be allowed after this date.

^No reading required - look at the poll results at the top, and scroll down the original post and look at design number 2.

We are using the same t-shirt vendor who supplied the t-shirts last year, so plan to size and purchase appropriately. We will extend the deadline to July 22, 2011 - as well as offer sweatshirts once we get pricing on them.

I like the idea of spelling a word with the cars, but I hope you have planned on the logistics of people retrieving their vehicles if they want/need to leave early. Not entirely sure if your method of achieving this effect will require some cars to be boxed in, but please make this consideration in your efforts.

I don't see the need to purchase a ticket for the infant - they don't consume BBQ, or drink a lot...

78 advance tickets sold.
32 shirts pre-ordered.
11 car show entries received.

Just in case you're wondering how sales are going.

Greg, typically people don't pre-pay... Most of the sales are at the door, and that's the case with every year in the past, so don't stress too much! (I have to buy my tix at the door too because paypal is the debbil)

Well, I hope they're not expecting food if they show up day of - the food isn't cheap, and I can't return cases of tri-tip and ribs - so I'm not about to buy enough for 300+ people since I'm only feeding around 110 people. Burgers and sausages are one thing - but at $200/case for tri-tip, and at least $125/case for ribs...

****, I'll have to get someone to paypal you for me, or I'll figure something out. I didn't know how the food thing was working (sorry, not online too much so I haven't kept up too much with the threads)

Hey Roo -

Quick question for you. I am going to be parking my car at the EQ Booth. I have my tickets purchased already, but wanted to know what time you are letting vendors in so I can get my car over there.

Thanks!
