BAM - T-shirt designs needed

The location is set. The details are being finalized. We're now in the process of needing a t-shirt design. The winning design gets their name (screenname or business name) on the shirt as the designer.

Our charity is the American Red Cross Japan Relief Fund.

My thoughts: partial arc (globe) with a Japanese flag on one side, a city outline on the right side, and a Subaru in front that unites the two.

All SERIOUS designs welcome. We'll need them submitted by June 15th, and voting will occur from June 16th to June 30th.

Another thing... didn't the drift people just do a huge japan relief? Why don't we do something different and actually raise money for americans? Half the country is either under water or recovering from tornados. I personally know people affected by it.

What location wa chosen?

As far as location, the supporting vendors have all agreed that it's among the best (and most central) locations for all concerned. I'm building a webpage in the next month, after the details have been finalized and everything is in position. While I know there will always be detractors to any plans anyone tries to make regarding BAM, I would hope those voices will be tempered by the reasoning that this is for a good cause.

The website SHOULD be up no later than June 15th.

While I see this as a valid question and I do understand what you're trying to say there's help still needed in northern Japan as there will be help needed everywhere to be honest. Allow people the right to choose which charity to donate to as there's more outlets available than just one and most people I believe will donate to both if they're able to.

I'm not living in mainland Japan currently, but rather in Okinawa (a small island south of mainland) and even here we see the effects (not physical damage due to the earthquake/tsunami) but more so economic and emotionally as well. We're still collecting donations whether it be in convience stores, resturants, and even local bars. Thankfully the Japanese are very resourceful and are able to recover their locally destroyed areas to completion where some companies like Cal-Trans would take several months+ just to rebuild. Trust me this will be on-going and just because it happened only a couple of months ago doesn't mean that all has been repaired and everyone is well. So if you can donate to Japan then please do so or maybe donate to both if you can afford to. All in all we're still helping people in need and that's what matters.

I'll work on it when I'm done with this logo project. I might also see what I can do thats japan related.

Roo, I totally understand how that works and the numbers you gave me I can guess where it is. I'll still stand by what I said though. Domestic issues get WAY less press and therefore WAY less help. Anything the red cross is working on would have worked and they're all over the south. But I wont cause any further distraction on the matter. I'm glad there is a charity at all.
