My thoughts exactly.
Sidenote: You were the highlight of my day...
Yup. And it's not like it's OBVIOUS or anything.

People trying to steal glassware from the winery is just absurd. Talk about a fast path to not having access to the venue again for future events. Are some people such children that we need to form some sort of volunteer "security force" for next year?
Thumbs up to Electra for calling out the thieves/rude individuals/etc.
Lastly, after much further thought on the whole matter, I encourage everyone with complaints and issues about this year's event to volunteer for next year. With enough additional people pitching in, I am willing to bet the bonus manpower would nullify a number of the top complaints. It would also possibly allow for people to work in shifts so they could have time to enjoy the event too.

Hammy was KIA because of the lack of parking?
I think that with the economy they way its been, The turn out has not been as strong as past Hammy events. So I wonder if we just go back to Hammy. Hammy was gold. Its a place that just can't seem to be found else where. Location to the bay area. Kids play area. Great drive. The house area for food. Lots of fun and just lots to do for everyone.
So do we have the numbers of people that showed to BAM this year?
It just doesnt seem to be the same as the ole Hammy days. And if I remember it was moved based on parking.
As we all get older, Its seems that we want it more of a upscale event. This comes with a higher cost.
I just think that Hammy is the way to go.
I personaly bought two tickets to BAM this year. We didn't eat as this event is more a fun / dontation event to me. As for driving... I don't care where its at. Getting to the event is 1/2 the event for me. A caravan of subaru's rolling down the road is just as fun.
Which is why I drove up to Sac @ 10 mpg just to drive down to the event with them. I had a blast in doing so. The Sac crew is a great bunch of Subaru owners.
As much as we don't think about it. As our cars get older and resale values drop on our cars. They become more affordable to a new group of people and a much younger crowd. With this and the economy being what it is.
Hammy with pizza's and hambugers are a good idea again.
What I thought would have been sick was to have BAM in the same place as this year. Then carry the event into the evening with a club type event in that hanger opened up to that view of the San Fran skyline.
$5 gen admission
$15 lunch + admission
$50 admission to the after hours event.
Anyways.... Hammy anyone?

The problem with Mt Hammelton was not the venue, but the park staff that was increasingly becoming hostile towards the meet. The last few "Hammy" meets were barely pulled off by Daniel due to the hoops the parks services wanted us to jump through. Daniel can elaborate more on that subject if he would like too.
Also, I will take a 60degree day in Alameda compared to a 100+ day on the mountain.
The spot was awesome, I would enjoy going back to that location again.

This has been suggested time and time again but I remain hopeful. BAIC Track Day...could be great. Maybe partner up with another car club? Hopefully EQ puts on another one soon.

That's Hella messed up to say it kindly!!
Here is my feedback; aside from those complaints already posted, since we don't need to beat a dead horse.
Bear with me because I am horrible at articulating these kinds of things...
I was one of the volunteers. And just in case you don't know who I am, I am the "giant redhead with a the huge ****" [actual quote from an attendee] that worked the ticket desk in the beginning. I work as a pinup model, yes I am a curvy woman, Yes, my ***** are big, you don't need to elbow your buddies and point. They're taped in, you aren't going to get a surprise show.
If you feel the need to reply to this with "wear a top like that and you are asking for it" um, yeah thanks I know what I am doing, I'm being me, vintage clothing is part of who I am, so... GFYS.
I was up at 5, there at 7:45 to help out [and I drove up from Gilroy, which sucked.]. There could have been more volunteers, sure, but after the way I was continually talked to, I am not surprised when people don't want to volunteer. Just because I look like I am working, doesn't make me your servant.
If you know me, you know I am a little weird [and I am being nice when I say 'little'], but I don't think I have ever intentionally been a stuck up *****. I tried to be helpful and friendly, but that didn't stop people from being *******s to not only me, but to the staff of the winery itself. They work for the winery, not YOU. And when they try to tell you, nicely, that the wine glasses are property of the winery and you go into the men's bathroom to put them in your pants to steal them, that makes YOU the *******. We all know that bulge in your pocket is a wineglass, because only in your dreams is your dick that big.
Here is a newsflash, you are not the president of the world, you are not the coolest thing since sliced pickles, and I don't think that driving a Subaru gives you the right to treat others like ****, regardless of how many cars were in your caravan.
I am not saying that everyone in attendance was an *******, it was the opposite, I had a great time seeing old friends and finally meeting some people face-to-face. But the jerks are what stand out in my mind, and they quickly ruin an event for me. That's my feedback, and this is the exact reason why I don't attend 99.9% of the pre-planned Subaru events [I haven't been to one since last years BAM if I remember correctly], the drivers.

And electra, sorry you met and had to deal with some many jackasses. Those were some serious heels though.

Also, I have stolen glasses from a winery before. But it did not even cross my mind to do it at an event that was put on for me (sounds conceited but I think you guys know what I mean)

Bone stock is good...sets a benchmark and gives you an idea what mods you think are necessary. My first track day, I had upgraded rotors/pads, springs, and stickier tires. I wish I could have had some track time with no mods. Either way, you will have fun.

I actually don't. I drove enough back roads to know what needed to be changed in order to enjoy the car more at a track day.
