Hahahaha, you got me laughing so hard hahahaha...
I was a salesman in high school...it's not hard, just frustrating; know the difference.
The hard part is realizing that you'd rather be doing somthing that ISN'T car sales...

And our jobs aren't difficult? There aren't any other difficult jobs in the world? Sure selling cars is difficult. So is being a lab tech handling materials that cost $10k per ounce. So is being a lawyer. So is being a TEACHER. So is being a waiter.
In reality, any job that a person cares to do well is difficult. Any job that a person does not care about is NOT difficult.
Frankly, you're just as much a 'prima donna' as anyone else by complaining about how difficult your job is, and how we should all just line up to buy $30k cars from you. Frankly, your 'lil slice of life' hardly matters to any of us. It's hilarious how you have demonstrated ignorance and hypocrisy in one shot.
You're just a lackey. It's perhaps nice to know some of you among the sales force over there are cognizant of this forum and this particular thread, but it's pretty clear none of you are taking it very seriously. Go get the big man to come read these posts. As I have suggested before, the people in charge over there need to know, and care about, what's going on. Have them read my previous posts.
As I've said before, and as you have handedly proven now, "young, subarau enthusiasts" does not mean any sort of change among the salesforce.
Of course, the equally compelling alternative explanation here is that everyone at scs HAS indeed read these posts... but lack the reading comprehension skills to understand them. It isn't as though this thread lacks for well-written responses either.

I know exactly how hard selling cars is. And just like other people have mentioned it's not the only hard job around. I am willing to bet quite a bit of money that some people on this board have jobs that are way harder than what you do and I did. That doesn't give you the right to be a *****. If you want to be a professional in this business then you are going about it the wrong way.
Comments like "Well they do it all the time
" aren't things that a upstanding salesperson should say. That's something that should be uttered on the playground in elementary school. As for not insulting you. I think you should try to stop insulting yourself and maybe everyone else will follow suit.

Me and my family said sure ok, then they asked me what other color I preffered then white I said black. They then told me they would sell me a black one for 26k, alright sounds like a good deal, but they didn't meantion it was a TR. I said no i want a regular sedan and they told me it was 28k+ fee's. I laughed, and my parents started donig calculations, and stuff and they kept pushing for me to buy it saying that it's a deal and that I would never find one for cheaper, and they told me they were the #1 dealership in Northern California and numbers dont lie. My dad said 26kOTD and said take it or leave it and he walked out, the salesman was pretty pissed while me and my mom laughed at the salesperson. We then decided to leave while the guy comes running out saying 26kOTD with free boost gauge for the TR i said no thanks im going to find it for 26k OTD somewhere else and the then proceeded to insult me in some foreign language im thinking spanish, but i am not sure. Eitehr way i know for sure he wasn't saying have a good day.
Cliffs: SC wanted 28k+ fee's, I said 26kOTD they refused i left and salesman(Jonathan) being unprofessional and said some things in another langauge

This guy is a low-life know-nothing slimeball. Just as expected. It's taking them less and less time to prove that with their posts. This joker did it on his first and solidified it with his second.
Good job monkey boy.
When making an effort to get in good with a group always make sure to insult them as a whole. You win the super-stupid award.
Having thought about it some more... isn't the manager of SCS part of this great effort to improve SCS name? You would think that if he were TRULY SINCERE then this loser monkey would be in some kind of trouble for doing exactly what the manager has said he would and has cleared up?
This act in itself will likely show for certainty that SCS has not and never had any intention of improving. It did make for some excellent use of down time at work though, reading through it.
This thread should be made a sticky on every subaru bay area forum to discourage people from going to that rat hole.

Wow, I hadn't heard of Steven's Creek Subaru before, but I sure as hell know not to go there now and to let everyone I know in the area not to go near there for anything.

This thread is back again? My gawd. What happened to thefreak and his promises? Sure a few ppl will get lucky and meet the right salesperson at the right time, but the point of being a salesperson is such that the customer meets the right (good) salesperson EVERY TIME. From what I have heard (not just from I-club) from friends and others, it would be less heartache and more beneficial to visit either Carlsen or Santa Cruz Subaru.

No matter how busy you might be, there is simply no excuse. This 'project' was initiated by you, not by us. The desire for change came from you, and the opportunity offered by us. Even if you couldn't answer, you should have gotten someone to. It should have been obvious that the sort of change you were looking for would require the creation of two or three job positions of people who would take care of just complaints and such as the like offered on this board.
I for one would have been happy to simply borrow the tools needed for the job and let my mechanic handle it. That's a show of a good faith. Or for a confirmation of the problem and maybe some free gas for driving on down. That's a demonstration of technical competence. Immediate scheduling for In-Out service of the seat Recall. That's a demonstration of commitment.
Words are just words. Change is an action and as such requires action. If you want to learn about customer service, and this experience _right here_ suggests to me that you have at best a tenuous grasp at a vague understanding of the word, you would have to start at the bottom. I would suggest, in all honesty, working for a year as a waiter and supporting yourself on those wages alone.
This simply makes your reputation worse. For my business at least, You would have to do something absolutely extraordinary now to even reconsider.

What I was doing was putting together some ideas about what services we could provide that would be benificial to the customer to make your lives easier. Some worked some didn't. In a couple of months we want to invite a couple of customers to the dealership to discuss some of the ideas and see whats they think. If anyone is interested they can email me at stevenscreeksubaru@yahoo.com or just PM me here. I am working on having someone to regurlarly check in here and respond back to as many complaints as possible.
Please keep in mind just because I don't post as regularly as some of you do, I am still helping people out at the dealership on a daily basis. If you have a problem please come down and see me or one of the other managers.
We will not be able to prevent all problems but the key is that we correct the problems that we missed.
I am going to read up on the posts that I missed and reply to as many of them as I can.
"We will not be able to prevent all problems but the key is that we correct the problems that we missed."
Well let's see:
Your prices are a problem. So basically with your wording you're saying that we "won't be able to prevent the problem of our exorbitant pricing for cars and services."
More accurately you should say we're not going to budge on riping people off every chance we get. Don't give me crap about prices either because we can all site 5+ dealers in the area that would beat your prices at any time, even during the times of "high demand" for a certain model.
Also, what are you going to do regarding the employee who was rude to a potential customer? By his own admission he did it and it was unwarranted.

Hey JeffWRx. First off sorry about not being able to put a deal together for you. Second hopefully you got the car you wanted in the end. I apologize for Jonathan' unprofessionalism. I thank you for calling him out as this is what seperates a salesperson from a professional. Him and I will be having a chat later on today. P.M. me and I'll make it up to you, whether you have bought a car or not.
