Will 225/45-17 tires rub on a My00

This question goes out to MY99-00 owners or to anyone who would know.

I am planning to order some tires from Japans and need to know if fitting 225 tires would rub with an offset of 48mm?

Do anyone know what offset I could use to get the 225 fit propely?

I currently running the STi Adjustable Suspension Kit http://www.rallispec.com/product-susp1.htm

they will rub. at least on mine. running 225/45/17. 48 offset. 17x7.5. You will need to roll your rear fenders. fronts are fine....depending on your suspension. Currently on KYB AGX/Eibach Pro.

On my 01 RS I was running 215/45/17 and they rubbed with Tein S-tech springs...I rolled the rear fenders and it was all good..

I have a 99 OBS with 17x7 superleggeras +48 and ContiSportContacts 225/45 17s and there is NO rubbing. Theres actually a bit of space and the smallest gap (only close part) is the bottom of the strut and thus, to the best of my knowledge wouldn't move relative to the wheel, only to the car. and in front theres no problems either. So, it works for me, but overall width of the tire is more important than the stated tread width thing (the 225 part) hope that helped. GL
