Wagon + 16" Kazera KZ-V + 225/50/16 = rub?
Hello Luke (and anyone else)-
I have an '02 WRX wagon, with stock suspension.
I'm thinking about ordering a set of Kazera KZ-V wheels and Yokohama
AVS ES-100 tires for summer use. Because I sometimes drive on rough
dirt roads, I'm leaning toward the 16" size rather than the 17", just so I
don't need to worry as much about damaging my rims. But I'd still
like the wider tires if I can manage them.
The combination I'm considering is:
Kazera KZ-V 16-7 (50mm offset)
Yokohama AVR ES-100 @ 225/50/16
Would this combination be OK? Is it likely that these will rub when cornering
hard or when the rear is loaded? I've read that 225/50/16 tires work OK
without rub on the stock 16" wheels, but the Kazeras have 5mm less offset.
If this would be a problem, then I'd probably go for the 205s instead. I'm
not too keen on 215s because of the long-term effect on odometer
readings.
Oh, and I don't have any plans to lower the suspension.
Thanks for any advice you can give!

Thanks, Luke!
One other question... just to keep my options open; I'm assuming
that if I were to go with a 17-7 version of the same wheel and
225/45/17, this would work just as well as far as rub is concerned,
since the tire width and wheel offset are the same.
Correct?
