Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Running lean, even though you're pushing the crap outta those STi pinks?

Before you go spending lots of $ replacing fuel system parts, look under the coolant tank near the passenger side fuel rail. The stock FPR is there and its regulated by boost. It senses boost through a short hose line that goes into the intake manifold. If this pops off, try as you might to push fuel into the head, the fuel system just won't comply enough. I couldn't get below 11.8:1 at even the highest of loads with my fuel map up to 3.5% greater that stock in some sites... on STi pinks with only a VF34!

I put the hose back onto the nipple coming out of the manifold, put in a way more reasonable map (i.e. with values like -1.0% instead of +3.5%) and voila, mid to high 10.x:1

Thank God for quick, cheap fixes.
