Unhappy 2002 wrx BLUE smoke...

Background info on the car:
almost 80k miles, catback exhaust w/dp and intake. had it tuned at PRE in gresham after installation, this was about 9 months ago and since then i have literally only put on highway miles and very little rough driving. Last changed the oil 2k ago, put in 4.5 qts and running good. I started noticing a slight cloud of blue smoke after I was sitting at a light or if it was just at idle for a bit until I started accelerating, after first gear it wasnt pushin out more smoke. Two days ago my dad watched me leave the driveway and said I have blue smoke through first and second. After he told me this, I wanted to test through all gears to see if it was still puking it up. Unfortunately it is, but mainly when I get on it. For example, at 60, downshift into third at about 4k rpms and get on it, it bellows a cloud of blue smoke, not insanely horrible, but theres a problem. Last time I changed the oil it wasn't completely level so i am thinking that not all of it came out and I may have overfilled it a little. Also I won't be driving it for the next 5-6 weeks so I won't need to take instant corrective action. I am wondering if anyone has had similar problems or if anyone has suggestions. Anything will help, just lookin to get some opinions

^ i never blew any smoke of any sort tho.. usually blue smoke = oil in every older car ive seen with that, and that is usually due to either bad valve(s), blown ring(s) or head gasket. have your car compression tested. that will give you a more solid diagnostic of whats going on in that complicated contraption under your hood.

my 02 WRX just started smoking from exhaust. I have been leaking oil so ive been adding it constantly. If I do have blow by in the engine, is the car completely inoperable? its my only car and need it for work. What are other possibilities of malfunction goin on? thanks guys
