Thanks. Gerry 01-23-2003, 06:38 PM You have a H6 in a impreza? Bal 01-23-2003, 06:40 PM No, in an Outback. RK Performance 01-27-2003, 10:54 AM Hi there, Just wondering, where are you located? I'm going to check with our Vendor, PDMTurbos.com to see if we can work something up for you. -Ryan RKPerformanceLLC@aol.com www.RKPerformance.com Paul H 01-30-2003, 04:43 PM If you are looking at putting a turbo on the H6 i suggest you do a lot of homework before you let anyone open your car's hood. The tuners abilities will be paramount. You will find intersting things like an angled throttle body, cruise control bracket to be removed etc. that will make fabrication and fitment a problem. Paul H Section 8 02-01-2003, 12:10 PM "twin" and "sequential" are two different types of turbo systems. Saying "twin sequential turbo" is like saying "round square peg". Some (at least one) of the japanese tuners have done/are doing this already. Nobody in the states has come into the subaru boards with a turbo six yet (only SVX motors). The EZ30 is particularly easy to set up a twin turbo system on as there is only a single exhaust port, ie no need to fabricate headers. You just need a bent tube with 2 flanges on it to locate the turbos. THe only real problem is effectivly using the room available to route the exhaust effeciently. Doing this with out a programmable ECU would be stupid. Doing this with out building the shortblock would be pointless. Doing this with out doing something to strengthining the transmission would be constant problems. Have you concidered how much power that you want out of the car? THe H6 Legacies are not performance cars, by any stretch of the imagination. Its heavy and it will be very easy to break parts with significent torque (rear front and center diffs, rear axles, not to mention the transmission). If you just wanted to slap a couple of turbos on the car to make it a little faster by running a low pressure setup on the stock block, concider a new car like an Audi. They have a stronger aftermarket for the cars, and you don't have to be the Gunepig. cheeRS, Greg nomadtw 02-01-2003, 10:38 PM Originally posted by Section 8 "twin" and "sequential" are two different types of turbo systems. Saying "twin sequential turbo" is like saying "round square peg". huh? no a twin sequential turbo is a twin sequential turbo, and a twin paralell turbo is a twin paralell turbo, both are types of twin turbos, twin turbo is a broad term... twin refers to the presense of 2 turbos... sequential/paralell refers to the order in which they spool as for this thread and it's main question... why are you going twin seq. instead of twin para.? if you went w/ twin para. and both smaller turbos, w/ a decent boost each, say both the size of the low spooling turbo that your seq setup would have, they'd put out the power, you'd get all the power initialy at the low end and no hang between turbo spools Section 8 02-02-2003, 09:02 AM Sequential, and parrallel are the broad terms. If you want to describe a 2 turbo set up it's dual sequential, and twin parrallel. There is a difference between broad and "what they said in the latest Import Tuner magazine". Talk to a Peterbuilt mechaninc and he (Or she) will bust your chops. cheeRS, Greg |
