Hey I'm new to this forum since I currently own a 99 Accord V6 Coupe. My car is at 100,000 miles and my tranny has been slipping, after i brought it to the dealership they told me to get a new tranny for $5,000. So I figured I'm gonna sell this car and I never want to buy a car with tranny problems again so I wanted to avoild any honda accord or TL/CL's.

I've been looking at the WRX and RSX Type-S, and I'm not sure which car to get but I'm leaning towards the WRX because of the speed. However I'm hearing people have tranny problems which is really scaring me off, I'm not sure what year WRX i'm getting but can somebody clear this issue up for me? But most likely I'm getting a used 2002 WRX with around 24K miles. Is there anything I need to check for or know when/if I buy a used 02 WRX or new 04?

If you know how to drive a 5 speed well, and don't get rough with it, it's fine, it'll last you a long time.

or if you want to get rough just get teh wrx sti cheers

can't afford one, i can only get a car under 16K
