? about turbo upgrade

If i put a V-34 turbo upgrade, with STI injecters, and a fuel pump can i get away with using the stock intercooler or will i have to upgrade. i also have a HKS boost controller.

you can get away with it, but you'd be better off with an upgraded intercooler.

pick up a fuel pressure regulator while you're at it too.

VF34 with STi injectors is good for about 240 whp on 91 octane on the stock IC. An upgraded topmount is worth another 10-15. You really notice the difference with race gas though- if you switch to engine management with switchable maps, the IC could be worth an extra 30 whp.

The FPR is never a bad idea, but be CAREFUL with that boost controller. Make sure you aren't making peak boost at partial throttle. I wouldn't go over 17 pounds on the VF34 with it.
