i just got my wrx about a month ago and i have been looking at many upgrades, i really like the look of the front mount IC's but i was reading and for the blitz front mount there has to be a flange welded on for the BOV? if any one has gone through this or if you know something that could help me, let me hear it.

the blitz piping does not have accomodations for a bov. thus you must buy the bov, an aluminum flange (assuming blitz has aluminum piping) and weld it on. the company that makes the bov usually makes a universal aluminum flange too.

the mrt fmic already has a flange and will allow you to use the stock bov. the greddy requires welding. aps requires the use of their own bov.

should be fine with stock turbo though it may not be the best idea. you'll get colder air but you'll also get a greater pressure drop due to the piping and larger core. plus the piping of the blitz is already longer than other fmic kits.

so do you think the blitz front mount is not such a good idea?

it really depends on your goals for the car.

if you will be sticking with the stock turbo or going with a slightly larger turbo, i'd suggest getting vishnu or samco intercooler pipes and a better top mount intercooler (STi, Vishnu, Turbo XS, Spearco, etc).

i will get a bigger turbo the greddy of the VF22, but for now i think that iam just going to build around that stuff, save the best for last. i do have an other question its kinda off this forum but if i get a unichip and a Turbo XS DSBC will there be any conflicts with boost conrtol?
