Is it better to port, ExtrudeHone, or buy aftermarket? (was: another header question)

another header question
would it be better to port my headers or just buy aftermarket..does anyone know the horsepower differece? Also if i were to get it ported would it still make a bigger difference when tuned?

whereas I lost noticeable respose putting headers on my 2.0 wrx wagon, I picked up power AND response both times I put them on my STI, seems the stock headers are much more of a restriction on the 2.5 than they are on the 2.0, I'll post graphs but the jump in power was huge, both times it was +10whp and +20-30 wtq(!) with both the GT spec and Gruppe-s headers. I'll post a graph when I dig it up
