nice, but what the hell is blocking the bottom left corner of the second one??? its very distracting.

You need a tripod, dude. You can get a cheapy one for about $40 that should satisfy most of your needs in the beginning

Matt was right for once, a tripod will help quite a bit - get a shutter release cable or set the camera on timer mode so that you do not get any camera shake when you press the button.

What settings did you use (camera mode and ISO) when you shot the picture? A faster shutter speed and higher ISO would help with the flare and light bleed around the headlights.
