would a +45mm offset for 18" rims be pushing it?

i know that the suggested offset for rims for the wrx is 48-53, but i really like the 18" black racing pro n1's and the best i can find is a +45mm offset.
would i eventually destroy my suspension if i went with these rims?

i'm not dropped at all.....YET! as for the wheel bearings......bone324 is right. anytime you put a bigger heavier combination of wheel/tire on a vehicle, you take a chance of wearing out the wheel bearings. manufacturers spec them for the stock wheel/tire combo.....so when we go bigger your putting more stress on that bearing. it won't always go bad, it's a hit or miss kinda thing!!!! later, riggs

thanks everyone. i ended up going on the safe side and got a set of 18x7.5 rims with a +48 offset. i figured that it was better to be safe than sorry. i was not concerned about rubbing so much as i was concerned about my wheel bearings going bad. but i guess that you are taking a chance no matter what you are changing on your car.
