Will 245/45/16 fit on the stock rims?

My friend has a set of 245/45/16 sp9000 he will sell me cheap, but I need to know if these can be safely run on the stock WRX rims. I have heard of a few people doing it but I am concerned that that tire is too big for the 6.5 inch rims. Thanks

According to Dunlop's website, those tires will fit between a 7.5" and a 9" wide rim.

So, no, don't put them on your stock rims.

You could probably mount them, but the first hard corner you took they would pop off and send you sliding to your DEATH!!!!! Don't do it.

They won't work. Proper plus sizing for stock WRX rims are 225/50/16, which is what I'm running.
