Unhappy Wheels and Tires for 97 2.5 Gt

Im thinking about buying new rims and tires for my 97 legacy gt but im not sure what wheels or tires to get. I've heard stories about people buying wheels for subarus and having their cars all messed up. (hopefully just myths) Does anyone know what i should try an look for or even where to begin? And hopefully anyone knows where i can get them for cheap?

P.S: its a red legacy(pics should be up soon in the red gallery) and it has the black side skirts and front lip with tinted windows, im thinking royal gunmetal would be a good color. I've also looked at the ROTA's but i cant find any cheap enough

Just make sure to get the correct offset, and you should be fine. For a standard 17x7.5" wheel, you probably want an offset between +48 and +53. Some people have damaged their cars by getting wheels with too low an offset (like high 30s, low 40s) thinking it'll be okay, but in reality it destroys their hubs.

If I were you, though, I'd get Rotas. They are great for the price, reasonably cheap and very well made. If new ones are too much for your budget, you might try looking around in the classifieds here. Plenty of people sell used Rota's for quite a bargin.
